I felt very grateful for the many individuals who helped me after I was rear ended and then hut the car in front of me. The Highway Patrol, mechanics and receptionist, the car rental agents as well as neighbors and friends.
The number of ways are too numerous to count.
The car that hit me was totaled!

Someone in a restaurant cooked lunch for me today, and a deliveryman brought it for me.
We had a delicious lunch while we were very time-constrained to cook something ourselves.

My mother-in-law celebrated her birthday with us, and drove us to a park so that we could have some family time together.
We could spend a delightful afternoon at the park, my son loved it.

During an incredibly challenging meeting and after, my colleague just listened and held space for my frustration. She didn't judge or try to solve the problem, she just listened.
it made me feel heard and able to dig myself out of a bad spot.

My mother delivered my farm box goodies (driving across town to do so) and then stayed and went on a brief walk around the neighborhood with me while she listened to me give her updates about a particular challenge I've been coping with recently. My mom also helped me strategize about my next move in working through this challenge.
After our exchange I felt more resilient in my ability to get through this hurdle, and I felt more connected to, understood by and loved by her.

I am enjoying working on the new unit I have been assigned. They really appreciate my efforts and are fun to work with.
Much improved work environment where I can be myself and feel supported in doing my job.

When I started working in the COVID ICU I was having a hard time, but I stuck to my morning ritual of meditation, journaling, therapy, and gratitude. I listened to a song by Londrelle every morning as I walked on the unit and it helped me put it all into perspective everyday. A year later I met Londrelle & was able to share how his song helped me fight everyday.
Being able to reflect on that time in my life and how far Ive come and meet one of the artists that helped me through felt full circle. And to be in this gratitude challenge - I am proof that it works 💫

I am setting up for our annual adopt-a-child Christmas program. We provide gifts to our county foster children and their foster families for a party they have in early December.
Allows me to help someone less fortunate.

4 favourite things in my day:
- Finally getting a PS5 (though probably paid too much life is short :-) - gonna say it is for the kids but lets be honest here :-)
- Driving to pick up Quentin from Halloween party- appreciate the night drive listening to music with little traffic on the roads and some me time (even if just for a bit)
- My regular walk with my good bud George(shootin the shit and walking the doggos)
- Cleaning up the balcony and tending to the plants (cathartic and needed doing before the next big downpour)

I am grateful for my body. It's not in the same shape it was when I was younger. I am grateful for a mostly healthy body that keeps me moving through all the things I want and need to do.
When I can do Yoga and get out for a walk with my dog, it makes my day a million times better!

When I was young, my older brother taught me to knit. However, he never taught me to read patterns. Before my first grandchild was born, I decided to teach myself how to read knitting patterns. Five years later I’m knitting things I never imagined I would be able to.
Knitting is my zen. I do it everywhere. It’s the absolute best way to relax plus you end up with awesome gifts to give away.

- nice health walk around the golf course - enjoying the crisp fall air and the bright fall sunshine
- making and planning a spotify mix to give to my 15 year old son - he is making me one in return and are going to listen to some personal favourites
- shopping and getting all the ingredients to make choc chip cheesecake cookies
- eating dinner with my wife and watching a show together

5. Grateful for the daily morning “wellness checks“ with my sisters via text message. Although we are many miles away from each other, this ability to share our mundane plans for the day, news, and general joking around helps me to feel close.
Thankful for this technology – we are but a text message away from each other!
