Grateful for being able to take my lunchtime walk yesterday, that I was organized enough to do so, and that I carved out the time to do so.
It was wonderful to get away from the crazy, to feel the sun and air, to hear the birds. I felt relaxed and refreshed when I came back to work.

I host a happy hour at work once a month and last Friday we had our first one of 2022.
It was such a joy to be able to commune and laugh with my coworkers.

So... I just submitted my "intent to retire" form, and then on my off period went to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription. This was a transferred prescription, as we recently moved, so the pharmacist is not familiar with our name. But... when I talked to him, he said, "Schickedanz - now that's a name I hear at my house often" - I was surprised, but it turns out his son (who has graduated from college and now works at Lockheed Martin) was in my 8th grade science class - and they STILL remembered me!
That was such a great feeling - kind of an affirmation that I have made a difference (definitely something I've been thinking about a lot lately...)

I was able to do a part of an event, do some of the main things that needed to be taken care of in order to keep the event afloat.
It helped me grow and learn through my career. Gaining experience and doing what I enjoy to do !

Me and my family got COVID recently and had only mild to moderate symptoms. We are very fortunate.
It gave me peace of mind that I and my loved ones were able to recover without dangerous symptoms or hospitalizations.

I am so grateful for my good health. I have taken my good health so for granted until I saw women much younger than I suffering physically, mentally, and emotionally.
It was a wakeup call to appreciate and give thanks for my good health.

These people I feel grateful for are the Canadian Truckers who are protesting today in Ottawa against vaccine mandates, vaccine passports and QR Codes.
They are saying and doing for me what I feel deeply that I would love to say and do myself and cannot.

I shared a couple of delightful memories I have of her mother who recently passed away.
It was difficult for me to share. But, I am so glad I did. I felt connected and not so alone in my own grief.

My dogs just love us so much and are always willing to show it. They comforted my husband when he is sick with COVID.
They make me feel less alone when Jeromy is quarantined to the basement, and they help reduce his suffering.

Grateful to D for his wisdom, insight, support and advice. I'm grateful for myself, and my decision to begin therapy.
I'm learning how to experience and express my emotions. I'm learning that all emotions are natural and "okay." I'm learning that I feel better and more whole when I am able to express and be with myself and my feelings.
