My boyfriend is a pilot so he travels a lot for work. I only see him 2 days a week, so when he is here for those two days, I feel so lucky I get to spend those two days with him!
His mere presence makes me happy.

I haven't had my own car for the last 5 years, so I'm thankful every time my daughter takes me shopping, to a doctor appointment, to the library, or even just out for a lovely walk.
I didn't have to take a bus to get my groceries and it definitely would have taken numerous trips to get all I needed.

As my birthday approaches, I am becoming more and more grateful for an opportunity to escape from work and find time to relax and recharge.
This will help me fill my cup so I can fill my students' cups.

He checked in with me to see how I am fairing in this winter storm that is sweeping across the Midwest.

There is severe weather where I live...snow, ice, wind, very cold. Yet, because of my late husband's forethought, I live in a very cozy home.
I can stay warm and cozy no matter what the weather conditions.

I'm grateful for a couple of things today: first I'm grateful that today is my "Friday" and I don't have to go back to work tomorrow. Also grateful for the delicious home-cooked dinner N made for us tonight. Finally, I'm grateful for the sliver of a crescent moon that I saw tonight as I left work.

My daughter had to write a paper and she said she used me as an example. She said I was her ethical role model.
I was really touched that she felt like that and I felt proud and loved.

My co-worker helped me with testing and offered me candy.

The new heating/cooling system in my apartment is finally working properly. Somehow I think the air-conditioning was on instead, so the guys just had to change it.
It is now warm again up here. The radiators are still in place at the building, but they will eventually be removed altogether. In addition, not everybody's new system is up and running but hopefully that will happen soon.

Sent me a text this morning warning me of weather conditions. So thoughtful.
It gave me a thumbs up for driving to work the morning, but more importantly it made me smile...I felt cared for.

My boyfriend built a plant house for our seedlings - it’s lovely!!
I get to see my plant house everyday and look forward to seeing the germination of all of our plants!! 🌱

I felt grateful for getting through this day. It wasn't a terribly hard day. I did get a lunch break, and I did leave on time. I am so glad that tomorrow is my "Friday. "

Grateful for being able to take my lunchtime walk yesterday while at work.
It felt so good to be able to get a break outdoors in the fresh air and sunshine. I also liked being able to get a little exercise mid-work day.

I had the stamina and strength to shovel out 19 inches of snow after our blizzard this weekend in the Northeast.
It was an affirmation that all the hard work I've put in over the last seven months has been worth it.

My co-worker check on me all time, making sure good to continue towards our next project. Makes me grateful they care about my well-being.

Jenni sent me watercolor pencils for my birthday and said she was so looking forward to seeing what I would create.
It is always special to be acknowledged on my birthday. It is even more special when the gift holds a special meaning for both the giver and the receiver.

I am grateful that I feel such abundance in my life. Nothing special happened except that I have become aware.
Gives me a feeling of safety, security, and well-being that has probably been here for a long time. How wonderful to really notice...to experience such feelings with all my heart. Feelings are real...not just words.

This is a bit of a long story. Suffice it to say that I offered a small gesture of unexpected kindness.
I felt that I benefitted as much from (or even more) from the gesture. Her thanks and hug were lovely. Just knowing I played a small part in making someone happy left me with a feeling of joy.
