I try to walk most mornings, and there are glorious pine trees along much of the way. I'm grateful for these majestic trees.

I feel grateful that I have a new collegue today and that she seems quite nice and that she'd make my days better

My car battery went bad and I was given enough warning that I was able to get it repaired before it completely died. I also re-found an auto repair place that I used to use and found them to be even better than when I used to go there. They helped me quickly and inexpensively, when other places promised at least a two and a half hour wait.

i bought food

I am grateful for the rain. I walked our dog this morning with soft rain falling on us, and it was wonderful. (Gnarly - the dog - wasn't as grateful as I was, however:)

Realized how helpful my hearing aids have been and that they are still state of the art.

I am grateful that I live in Switzerland and that I work in a meaningful project as a medical doctor. Yesterday I was in Zurich and I had experienced life, work in German. And I am grateful that the people I met there were as expected very very friendly and very human.

I went to the car wash with my six-year-old, paid off Honda and was amazed that it still looks and runs like new. It is a good car and comfortable to drive and ride in.

got more work than planned to done

I looked in the mirror this morning while shaving and realized how grateful I am that I no longer wear glasses. I did for most of my life, but cataract surgery changed that. It is one benefit of getting older. Also I am appreciative that the prolapse in my right eye is now gone. I forget how self-conscious that made me feel.
