I stayed overnight with my elderly mother. We enjoyed each other's conversation.
I was able to experience time spent with my mom and that brings me joy.

A woman who was euthanizing her cat was very appreciative that we had a room specifically for euthanasias. She said she had been through many euthanasias, but this was the first time she had dinner one in a room that was comforting like ours. She went out of her way to tell me this, even through her heartache and tears.
I was surprised, actually. I felt grateful that she felt that way, as no one has ever mentioned anything like that to me in my 11 years of being a vet tech. It made me feel really good that our euthanasia room was comforting to her.

Brought her sheets and blankets that she really needed and I have plenty! She made Isaiah a beautiful card and gave him some books!!

I got to interact with two of my caregivers employees toady and they were both happy and grateful for they work they do. That in turn made me happy and grateful for them as well.

I was able to get the coding done for my capstone project done quickly.
It is one more bit of proof that I am close to the end of my degree program and that I can be done in the next few days.

My tutor stayed back 40 minutes after class had finished to discuss portfolios and other industry secrets with me and a few other students.
This gave me a clearer idea of what I should be working towards and how I should think about presenting my works to future employers.

This person trusted me with their life and allowed me to provide care during a very vulnerable and scary time. They smiled and thanked me for allowing me to do that.
I felt a warm feeling inside...a sense of pride knowing that she got amazing care and will be able to go home and get back to teaching english to her students. She also commented that parts of her body were getting more blood than ever before after the operation.

Al's Appliance unexpectedly called and set a repair appointment for tomorrow. We had been prepared to wait till next Friday.
It will ease the stress of having a broken appliance that was expensive to begin with.

Finally got my new tooth crown. Also realized that if bad things come in threes, we are done for awhile - a cavity under my crown, the new crown didn't fit at first; my car battery died and now the washer finally gave up the ghost after being intermittent. That's three and we're done for now.
I am grateful that the washer and dryer are under warranty and that it will be fixed after some inconvenience.

I just celebrated my birthday on September 3rd and I am grateful many friends reached out to plan activities for and with me! I went to a museum, ate at Peruvian Restaurant, went for walks, had a surprise birthday dinner, I heard from friends (mainly via Facebook) and family. I felt loved and appreciated.
Having meaningful connections is important to me; granted quite a few were simply "happy birthday" but the person still took the time to call, email, text, or post!
